Micro Torsion Springs offer torsion spring performance in dramatically reduced sizes. The series starts with an Outside Diameter as small as 0.0356" bringing stock availability to applications where space is at an absolute premium.

Like all torsion springs, Micro Torsion Springs work by exerting torque, or twisting force, when deflected about the body centerline axis. They store and release angular energy or statically hold a mechanism in place, making them well suited to the compact, precision assemblies found in today's miniaturized devices. Micro Torsion Springs are offered as Stock products across a compact range of design options:

• Outside Diameter: as small as 0.0356", up to 0.086"
• Wire Diameter: 0.004", 0.0045", 0.005" and 0.0055"
• Free Position of Ends (Free Angle): 90°, 120°, 180°, 210°, 270°, 300° and 360°
• Direction of Wind: available left-hand wound (prefix LTBL) and right-hand wound (prefix LTBR)
• Material: Stainless Steel

Every micro torsion spring design is offered in both left-hand and right-hand wound versions so the spring can be matched to the direction of applied force in your application. Good design dictates that torsion springs be used in the direction that winds the coil tighter.
